In the report to the Assembly, the leader of the DRPP stated that in 2022 the properties bought by foreigners increased by 24%.

"2,884 were for 2022, i.e. 24% more than in 2021. So, about 3,000 people have bought real estate in the Republic of Albania, which, on average, is worth 450-500 million euros to the recipient. country", said Ervin Koçi.

The experts of the real estate agency say that the trend continues throughout this year at a faster rate.

"In the last two years, we have also had a very large increase in Scandinavian countries, where over 90% of sales in Saranda are for foreigners. If we talk about the coast of Vlora, young people have increased. If we see all these towers that are being populated, they have demand mainly from foreigners who are concentrating their business in Tirana. They are very willing to embrace the contract that allows them to pay the property in installments, which is not allowed in foreign countries", said Erion Alimema.

Meanwhile, the loan for the purchase of housing continues to maintain high rates. The Bank of Albania informs that there were about 24.3 billion new loans disbursed to individuals in the first six months, only 70 million less than the same period last year./TCH
