Thumane-Kashar/ Fee 270 lek or 2.1 euro, will the citizens be 'robbed'

If the concession company will start collecting from Saturday, January 4, the fee of 270 ALL, neither more nor less, this would be a theft from the citizens' pockets. And with the rate that the concessionaire can apply, 1 euro can be exchanged for 130 lek, a rate that has been 'out of fashion' for at least two years.

Starting from January 4, road users on the Thumane-Kashar axis will pay 2.1 euros, or 270 lek, as announced a few months ago. But the fee of 270 lek does not correspond at all to the currency exchange rate, which raises the question of whose exchange rate the 'Gener2' concessionaire is referring to.

If we refer to the exchange rate, 2.1 euros, in the most extreme case, would be equal to 210-215 lek, which means that for every vehicle that would pass on the 21 km long axis, the concessionaire would receive a minimum of 600 lek more more than that fee of 2.1 euros.

It is not known whether the Government, which has favored the 'Gener2' company quite a bit, will intervene, or will it turn a blind eye to the possible theft that will be done to all road users, taking advantage of the chaos and the exchange rate in this case .

Thus, in such conditions, it is better for the users of the means to carry euro coins with them to pay at the concession stand than to pay the fee at the rate determined by 'Gener2'.
