The explanation is simple, unfortunately: In the skin of Albanian politics, it has happened hundreds of times that a small scratch is enough and the wound of the West is revealed there.
I believe that the governors of Kosovo did not think anything good for the Albanian nation when they raised the country's police to light the fire in the North. It was May 29, nine days ago. The wound of that day is still not closing, even though the biggest powers of the West, EU and USA, have returned to Kosovo almost like in 1999, but in reverse. Now the West is managing the crisis in Kosovo, they have left no room for managing prosperity. During the day, 80 NATO soldiers were injured. That day, as 'The Economist' wrote yesterday, only one murder was expected; if NATO killed just one bully manipulated as a Serbian 'protester', then Russia would find the opportunity to march towards Europe, stepping on Ukraine. This was the terrible thing that the government of Kosovo entered without even thinking about the unimaginable damage it was doing to its own state and the entire Albanian nation. The terrible act happened 'in the clear sky', in the blink of an eye, except that someone's nerve was provoked, even the prime minister.
And the question: Why? The government of Kosovo, for nine days, in front of the EU-US, has not been able to explain the reason why it committed the act of provocation that opened the way for Eastern interests. The explanation is simple, unfortunately: In the skin of Albanian politics, it has happened hundreds of times that a small scratch is enough and the wound of the West is revealed there. Just like children when they bathe in the village tank and their parents discover them with a small scratch on their skin. As soon as the ruling interests of some Albanian rulers are affected, it is revealed that they have 'played' with the West only to appear pro-Western. We still don't know for sure what Prime Minister Kurti's project was when the crisis started in the North, but at least we know two things clearly:
First, that the powers of the West were shocked and installed in the North of Kosovo where they have invested the greatest care of the century.
Second, it is quite clear that Kosovo is no longer what it was before Friday, May 29.
Where was the Kurti government leading its country, Kosovo; we can't say that yet. There are observers who think they are readying it as Russian satellites, but this does not seem feasible. There are others who think that the government is more interested in a weak state, like B&H, which may have something to do with it. The pressure that is believed to be exerted on the government by the radical Islamist groups that were also grouped in the service of the Islamic State may have some connection; but even this on the last day cannot work...
In hundreds of cases, the deviation of the orientation of Albanian citizenship from the West to the opposite has not worked; even though it existed as a risk. Can the Kurti government expel the West from Kosovo?
With all doubts, it seems impossible.
Where do doubts come from?
What happened in the North reminds us of the last few years. The memory brings before our eyes the ghost of 'Kurti' during the first government, he hovered over Albania with the aim of overthrowing the constitutional order in the country. He tried to create a front he called the 'VV party' to disrupt order and security... Then he called for a 'revolution' based on the installation of the highway beam in Kalimash... then a spectacle in Korça where a Serbo-Bosnian singer sang . Throughout his journey, Kurti walked hand in hand with Berisha and Meta - one declared undesirable for the US and the other a self-proclaimed fighter against the US...
Berisha still sends Kurti telegrams of courage 'stay in the North' against the West. Memory takes us to many historical events when Albanian rulers have the anti-Western attitude very close to their skin. Of course, even in moments of danger, they have not been able to divert the pro-Western national orientation. These rulers 'take a leap against the West', but they cannot do it. Look at what is happening in Tirana, with both those who have been at the head of the state... But it still hasn't 'fired'. Do we have any instruments that the state itself must correct or perfect? The crisis in the North of Kosovo is bringing this to our attention. The law as the reason of the nation and the state as the natural institution of the nation must be perfected.
