Drawing up the lists for the deputies of the next legislature (2025) will really bring out their commitment and militancy. Usually, the lists are forwarded at the last moment, within the deadline to reduce the possibility of interventions but also not to leave room for the dissatisfied to express their complaints. This electoral system, which does not allow coalitions, makes it possible for the effort of political individuals to be channeled to 1/3 of the list with closed names, while for 2/3 the battles within the type are completely open. We are bringing this argument to justify the panegyric words of the great mass of Basha's people, who are already under Berisha's tent. Time will prove their commitment or servility. And, there are many. They were the ones who left nothing unsaid about the rest of the Democratic Party after January 8. Although today the public is "understanding" about the commitment, servility, tones and imitations towards Berisha in every aspect, because they love the united PD.
The problem in the last hours is that apart from Ilir Meta, who will receive a well-deserved reward for the crutch that twice extended to the DP in the elections, some of the opposition like Mr. Mediu and others are not easily digesting Berisha's statements about the lists, who has started a tour across Albania to convince Albanians to vote for his project of coming to power. The introduction of fear about the lack of a future for the country, the opposition to the acts of the Rama government, the claims for drastic changes, the confrontation with everything of the predecessor makes Berisha divert attention from the demands of his allies or closest people, who have supported him so much and some of them are full of pathos. The motive is known: Rama's departure and their return.
And while Berisha is revealing little by little his plans for the lists, he must now start thinking about the impact on the Democrats and his allies, if they will accept that the safe names are the conjuncture of Berisha himself or the interest of democrats. The challenge will be with Mr. Meta, whose chances are to run on the safe list and in this case we have the precedent that should be allowed (in case of victory) and automatically win immunity. SPAK's path then starts from the beginning and not so successfully, if we assume that DP is the winner in these elections. What is worrying is related to the fact that the closing of the lists, which was approved by DP together with SP, was a proposal of the Democratic Party, unlike what was declared by Berisha. Which means that he must bear in the future that silent revolution of the discontented and if he thinks about the loss (possibility, which seems to be a reliable percentage) and the last attempt to remove it in the most natural form possible. On the other hand, the public will have the opportunity to watch some of the DP politicians, who have faced them in the prime time shows, swearing to go to the end of their political commitment. Until then, fear will prevail for the names on the lists and above all for the victory (if it comes), which he and only he, Berisha, will get. Zbigniew Bërzhinski articulated this kind of feeling with more class: "Fear obscures reason, intensifies emotions and makes it easier for demagogic politicians to mobilize the public in the name of the policies they want to follow." Understandable until they see the name or not. Then?! They will obey the crowd.
