What is Gaz Bardhi doing in Fier?
Yesterday there was a somewhat indirect controversy within Sali Berisha's party. Rightfully, MP Luan Baçi did not welcome the sending of Gaz Bardhi as plenipotentiary to Fier.
Luan Baçi is one of the most ardent supporters of Sali Berisha, in a district that has never been pro-DP. Especially with the clash with the Mallakastra clan, which has always been close to Alibeaj and Kapllanaj, maintaining a stable group of militants has been a separate stress for Bač. But one day comes and the dome, that is, Berisha, Noka, and Gaz Bardhi appoint the latter as envoy to the largest district in the country after Tirana.
An inexplicable move. It is different from the SP, which is the party in power, which can move the deputies since they ultimately represent the politics of the majority, and different from an opposition, which creates political actions in the territory completely unrelated to government interests or logic.
Only the organization of rallies and protests that Luan Baçi has organized in Fier is enough to understand that his revolt and the right to represent a territory that he has managed and that lives there are quite normal.
What is Gaz Bardhi doing in Fier? He is from Kavaja, politically he represented Elbasan in the last elections, where he was the head of the district, and where the horror happened, while today he is the number two of Sali Berisha's party. Logic says that if not in Kavajë and Elbasan, as a leader Gaz Bardhi can be in Tirana, even the leader of the district.
Sending to Fier may not be a final choice, but it has actually stirred up the situation there. But this aspect is an internal party issue. If you look at the map of the distribution of deputies, we have Luciano Boçi in Shkodër, Bardhi in Fier, Saljanji in Elbasan, while in other districts; Gjekmarkaj is in Lezhë, Flamur Hoxha in Kukës, Xhelal Mziu in Dibër, Bujar Leskaj in Vlora and Tritan Shehu in Gjirokastër.
This division clearly shows how Sali Berisha thought about the division into districts, and as Dashnor Sula rightly said, the only ones who are sure to run in the respective districts are Leskaj, Shehi, Gjekmarkaj and Flamur Hoxha, who are in the districts where MPs have been elected in 2021 as well.
Apart from the gamut of jokes, the essence of this division really shows the problem of the opposition, which has no reference to the territory. Even where there is, as in the case of Luan Baci, dubbing is installed. Why does Sali Berisha do this? The departure of Gaz Bardhi to Fier, at least there may be difficulties in the structures created by Luan Baçi, which may lead to a decrease in motivation and a weaker result. Also in Shkodër, Luciano Boçi will not have the motivation to bring a positive result as he is looking for in Elbasan, where he lives and ran, or even Saljanji, who won the last election in Kavaja, and today is led to the place where Luciano failed. Bocce.
All this tangle naturally leads to one conclusion; the one who invented it doesn't think about increasing the votes, but his mind is somewhere else. That could be the management of the post-election situation. Of course, the discussions can continue without results, because they all look like beatings in mortar or pancakes with water, and this is what the DP structures at the base think, which in all probability have not even thought about this division in the worst possible way. Berisha seems to have in mind what he stated in the direct connection with the parliamentary group today; contesting the 2025 elections. That's why he didn't think about a winning list, nor an optimal list of deputies...
