When the vote is asked with Amen!

"Vote with Amen" for political or religious power in the name of God is a long-established discourse in our mental and social habitat.

The atmosphere of the election campaign is being felt. The fans are fired up. Young nationalists are cheering in the stadiums, voices are heard demanding death for their peers who speak a different language of identity. In the name of the people, the parties have raised the flags of denigration and the language of division in the battle, to defend the throne of power in the name of God and for God.

The campaign for power is being divided into a market between the halal and the haram. Hands that until yesterday bought and sold everything, today, the symbols of piety, the rosaries and candles, have turned into symbols of deception. The church and the mosque have become party headquarters, where God's blessing is used as a method to raise the polls of a halal government with the millions earned by the haram government.

When churches and mosques are trafficked and turned into electoral headquarters, and religion is not treated as conscience, but as currency, envelopes and ballots. When God is transformed into a street banner for a plus vote, we have nothing more to lose than being amorphous beings who still believe that a candidate comes down from a high position to deal with the municipal sewage from which laundered money comes.

From religious pulpits we hear words like “justice,” “honesty,” “vote for good.” But who defines good? A party leader or God? When the prayer for mercy and thanksgiving is replaced by the oath to vote, then you can’t help but ask the question, which is more sacred: the ballot box or the violation of sanctity?

When in the name of God, they bargain. In the name of morality, they raise party flags. In the name of the people, they decide who deserves the “blessing.” Then politics is no longer just seeking power, it is seeking trust.

Not the faith of the people, but that which belongs to God.

And we remain silent as citizens who ask for help from God and vote for politicians who use our God to deceive us in our name. Religious clergy are silent about the collective sin that is happening in the house of God, because the shackles for their re-election are in the hands of these political oppressors who, through Amen, hold the soul of the slave in their fist. These people demand votes for political and religious power at all costs, while we seek blessings from those who have turned blessings into a marketable commodity, forgetting that God does not ask us for votes, but for conscience.

"Vote with Amen" for political or religious power in the name of God is a discourse long established in our mental and social habitat. It is a common strategy of action between politics and religions, to instill fear of God, to subjugate and deceive, so that you dare not live in this life, but pray to live in the next world and then also believe that without the Amen of politics there is no life neither in this world nor in the next.

And yet, for a long time, politics has established a monopoly even on our death. If you want to reserve two meters of land for the living dead, you have to pay thousands of euros for the service, plus you have to pay the imam in euros to say a few words of courtesy over your corpse. For us, the bargain for life ends in the cemetery, for them, the bargain for votes ends in the sanctification of power.

And the media, I ask you, where is His Majesty in all this political calculation? Does God give mandates, does he assign positions, does he appoint ministers, does he distribute material wealth or spiritual prosperity, does he distribute heaven exclusively to politicians and hell to the poor captives who do not have the eyes to see, nor the courage to jealously protect their God who prays every day for our Light?

God doesn't need a campaign.

It doesn't ask for votes.

He does not give blessings with tenders.

He only asks for one thing that no candidate offers: a clear conscience and a little bit of humility.

O Lord, I pray, help believers to know Your love!

Amen!
