Did we not hear the calls to kill prosecutors who dare?
Do you know what you are doing honorable legislators? You are raising a commission or a law, or even a finger against media defamation…
Do you know what you are doing? You cannot suffocate the media…; because to stop defamation you have taken the media's breath away. But the media can suffocate you, and even all of us. Gia has done it.
We are still fast, you just released the news that you are against defamation. You didn't even dare to say that you condemn the defamation. You haven't even stated that you will legislate against defamation or fake news, or false information. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I have the impression that the "Pantheon of Democracy" will not even dare to touch the "wasp's nest".
To be 'fair', as some of the most slanderous have begun to say, the Wasp's Nest is more powerful than the Pantheon of Democracy itself.
And to be closer to this fear, let's say that today's government is the only one that has the madness to put its hands in that nest. Other governments have entered the hornet's nest themselves, collaborated with the creatures of bitterness, and poisoned their own people.
Will this government have the courage? If so, then it will be attacked by the nest but will be admired by the broad field of the people and the nation. A government that does not bow to the media, it proves that they have "nowhere to catch it". This political wing itself has experienced hell: In 2005, the media spread the call "gather all the stinkers, let's overthrow Fatos Nano!". And they did.
With the slanderous media, even worse than with the mythical evil creature. The defamatory media rests on two legs: Lies and Propaganda. The lie is used as a speeding foot that takes the evil far and deep, while propaganda is used to overthrow the truth that people's eyes see and people's ears hear. Without these two evils, even evil politics itself would not live; so be careful with the wasp's nest. If the government dares to put its hands in the 'nest' then it will come out swollen, cursed, slandered, even sold to its opponents around the world.
Didn't we just recently see how many people appeared on the media screens and threatened the Albanian nation that 'Beleri's Greece will rule the roost!'.
Did we not hear the calls to kill prosecutors who dare?
Don't you feel bad among them if you praise Albania, or the beauties of the country, or the virtues of the people, or the very air of Albania!? No, they have banned national pride and reality. They say that 'what do you say, there is Albania that competes in the world?'
The defamatory media is the most vicious violator of human life and the nation's personality.
Defamation media is a whole universe, much bigger than 'fake news'. Today's civilization is on alert against this 'bomb'. Our lawmakers are trying to be great allies in maintaining security and stability in the country, in the face of slander and misinformation. But will they be able to win the battle against the entire ecosystem of misinformation?
I am hopeless.
Lawmakers have the laws, but the slanderous media has no business with the laws; she breaks the laws and no one stops her. The slanderous media has secret allies around the world and in the corners of the country; the media has secret finances; the defamatory media has luxury villas and cars; he has people with him. There is even the offer for politics: 'Dear aspirant, will you become great in power? Come to me, the barber of Seville'.
Defamation and misinformation are not caught by the law. The media man, like the minister of truth, bows down to the judge and the prosecutor. 'I am freedom of speech itself,' says this kind of man. Even the judge says this phrase before slandering and denigrating the individual and the nation.
I have a rhetorical question: What did Olsi Rama have to claim the right against defamation in court? Nor is there to find the right. I also ask myself the question: What am I wasting three years seeking the right against a journalistic defamation in the courts?
Then the capillary question: 'What did we want in the 90s when, together with some colleagues, we started the path of liberating 'free speech'?
Slander is tyranny above all; we will have as little freedom as Defamation will allow us.
