The setting of the new date and place of the protest, in the courtyard of the Albanian Parliament, is the first strong sign that the promised “revolution” has now returned to its bed of 500 aggressive people. Sali Berisha’s attempt to provoke mass protests through so-called national protests failed as never before. In every attempt by Berisha for national protests there has been at least one large protest that has reached 8 to 10 thousand people.
Berisha's four protests did not exceed 4,000 people, and the last protest, because it was a complete failure, turned into a violent march through the capital, ending at Enver Hoxha's villa.
And what was expected to be the most triumphant ending for them turned into the most defeatist ending of the revolution, as Berisha himself became complexed by the attack on Enver Hoxha's villa and for 48 hours has been justifying the attack because they lied to us that it was Edi Rama.
If we had a prosecutor who is not neutered by Berisha, the claim that the attack was directed by Berisha himself "because he did not know there were foreigners there" is proof that he undertook a violent attack on a cultural institution, endangering the lives of artists.
The fact that there are foreigners there does not increase the criminal offense nor does it mitigate it. Berisha has criminalized himself by saying that he did not target the foreigners, but rather the building.
But apart from the criminal aspect, this betrayal of his has stripped the revolution of all its triumphalism, which actually seemed very well thought out and planned, although very banal.
Now even the most radical soldiers of the revolution, when they hear Berisha say that the attack on the building where Enver Hoxha lived was a mistake, feel like a failure, as their leader is meanwhile lamenting their fireworks and Molotov cocktails.
If you add to this the disgust aroused in Tirana by a primitive gang that roams the streets burning businesses and museums, it is certain that the revolution has remained isolated only in the courtyard of the SHQUP.
This is the reason why the protest is no longer dated, but is linked to events and in this case to the session where Balluk's immunity will be discussed. So, being unable to sustain the revolution he started, being a failure in numbers and disgusted by the capital, he is hoping to gather people in front of the parliament that even if there are 200 people, the courtyard will be filled.
That's how much power he has left. The deranged march through the streets of Tirana, burning businesses and buildings, has now left only the group of Molotov cocktails in the courtyard of the SHQUP. They have nowhere to go because they are now being tracked down by the police. The revolution that started to overthrow the government has now ended with the numbers of people who follow Berisha's folklore. The only difference is that there are no crazy people here, only fools.
