Following the assassination of Iran's supreme leader and the top political, military, and security establishment, the panic-stricken regent leaders are launching their missiles and drones at civilian facilities, airports, infrastructure, and oil refineries to instill fear and chaos, and to demand that Donald Trump stop the attacks, declare a ceasefire, and sit down at the table.
But Donald Trump came out today, said they had time to talk, now it's too late, or hand over the weapons, otherwise they haven't seen anything yet.
All of this is the classic scheme of a stand-off, resembling a poker table, where each player plays on the psychology of the other, increasing the bet.
Gazmend Bardhi, today, made an epic threat to the majority. At the press conference, after announcing the opposition's report regarding SPAK's request for an arrest warrant for Belinda Balluku, he declared that if the majority does not vote in favor, then there will be a coup, as the DP supporters will collapse the Parliament.
"I want to announce today that on the day when the Parliament will review Balluk's mandate, the DP will call on citizens to protest in front of the parliament. If the scenario of rejection goes ahead, and the Parliament turns into a bunker, citizens will treat the parliament as a bunker where the corrupt are sheltering and it will have to be demolished," said Bardhi.
Such a statement, in fact, represents a strong stance by the number 1 opposition member in the Assembly. A stance that, in addition to the blackmail aspect, also has its political side.
Because this case, namely SPAK's request to seek an arrest warrant against Belinda Balluku, represents an important hook, which can be taken as a political cause, so desired by any opposition in the world, especially in our case when the causes are generally ambulatory and itinerant.
Gazmend Bardhi has played the game with great poise, immediately issuing an ultimatum to the majority, because the Socialists' position is already known.
Who previously said that the suspension was enough, while today even that part has fallen, because Belinda Balluku is no longer a minister or even a deputy prime minister.
In all likelihood, the session discussing the SPAK request will turn into one of the well-known war scenarios in the Assembly, where the DP deputies will surround the podium, occupy it, and possibly even use force or other means, just to disrupt the normal process of that session.
But why is this happening? Because in the session discussing the request in SPAK, two important words are expected. The first from Belinda Balluku, and then from Edi Rama, who has said that he will speak on the issue as soon as the report of the SP group in the Mandates Committee is read.
Belinda Balluku's speech, in all likelihood, was intended to capture the entire audience's attention, as she has never spoken about the accusations against her since the file was opened by the special prosecution.
Whether it's curiosity or interest in knowing the views of the accused and her defense arguments, that session will be named after Belina Balluku. After months of bombardment by opposition media and political circles that have been spinning the accusation, she has the chance and the opportunity to make "Bingo".
The trial is quite interesting as a genre, it has always had the greatest interest from the public. Even during the communist era, courtrooms were generally full, because they were viewed as a spectacle. In public, discussions on the chronicle of events were completely different from the panorama given by the media and state propaganda.
As such, the public seeks to follow both sides, even more so the one that is accused, which as we have noticed in many cases receives the largest audience, especially when a period of time has passed when the offensive and accusatory arsenal has been used.
Therefore, Gazmend Bardhi, in all likelihood coordinated with his boss, has prepared a strategy to stop and block the normal hearing of this matter as much as possible.
Although the destruction and use of clutter is not normal, it has already become part of the "protocol" of the Albanian Parliament for years, especially in such sensational cases.
When the session to approve Edi Rama's fourth-term government was disrupted, the chances are that the same thing will happen every time there are such cases.
Then Edi Rama declared that if normal sessions are not allowed, then the vote will only last 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, such a session, where more than voting is about words, discussion, arguments, and evidence, cannot be closed so easily.
It is precisely the responsibility of this majority, which has 83 members, to return the Assembly to its normal role. If not always, then at least when it is needed and there is the greatest interest from the public. Otherwise, it is no longer a political majority, but only a regency government.
