Damian Gjiknuri declared yesterday in the Assembly that anyone with serious health problems cannot vote. Gjiknuri said in the Assembly that we are dealing with about 50 thousand Albanians who do not have the opportunity to go out to vote on May 11. Gjiknuri said that the Socialist Party had proposed that these citizens vote by mail. As immigrants vote.
But Damian Gjiknuri easily passed this aspect, which in fact does not simply constitute approximately 5 deputies, but is a challenge to the humanity of those who run this system. Gjiknuri, who is a lawyer educated in the West, should know that during the communist dictatorship, the impossible, in the voting process that was not as democratic as today, received a representation of the voting commission and the impossible voted without mail. Okay, it could have been a non-fear process, but the concept was better than today's.
The lack of a deal between the majority and the opposition to exclude 50,000 voters, just because the opposition does not trust a system, is sadomasochism.
Let the opposition or whoever find a system to include these citizens who, even in electoral logic, constitute 5 deputies, but cannot exclude them. Just as the majority cannot let them go so easily in the most sadistic way possible.

Why can't they vote when the streets are full? During the dictatorship, the commission would go to the homes of the poor, why can't they go today? Where is the OSCE and the Council of Europe? We are in a not-so-flagrant but terrible violation of fundamental rights. How can a person be prevented from voting, just because he physically doesn't go to the polling station? Who has the right to do this?
It is such a serious crime that tomorrow, if there is a just state, it could convict the deputies of Albania for genocide. Voting for the physically incapable is the simplest thing in the world, where there are many ways, only if there is will. If there is no will, there is a Penal Code!
