The telenovela "Edi Rama and the Huts" must end!

The huts became a stage to be used in political theater, to distract attention from the bigger scandals.

The heroic fight of a prime minister against the mountain peaks and prosecutor Gjeli is a challenge that takes you nowhere. Edi Rama, the other day I criticized you by saying, don't bother with the huts in the mountains that don't threaten anyone, but challenge the oligarchs on the coast, especially those in Vlora.

In today's Albania, justice is not what it would be in any serious state, and I support the prime minister. It is not a guarantee of equality, transparency, and impartial application of the law.

It is a theater where different roles are played by actors with opposing "missions", but all serve the same scenario, protecting the interests of the powerful and keeping silent about corruption.

At the forefront of the scene is Elsa Gjeli, the prosecutor who became the protagonist of a spectacular political battle over a small hut on a mountaintop. This hut, a modest structure, almost insignificant compared to the superstructures that have invaded the coast, was used as a pretext to show that justice is fighting “without compromise”.

The Prime Minister became personally involved, turning this issue into a “national alarm,” while the media was filled with headlines portraying Elsa as the evil of the prosecution that was not “protecting the state.” In this game, Elsa became the symbol of a just fight against illegal construction, but only the small, vulnerable, and easy-to-hit one.

The huts became a stage for political theater, to distract attention from the bigger scandals.
On the other side of the stage, with dim lights and much less public attention, is Julinda Gjika, the prosecutor of Vlora, who is responsible for a territory where looting of public property and illegal construction have become the norm.

Unlike Elsa, Julinda has no need for spectacle; she runs a system that works silently to cover up major violations and protect the oligarchs who plunder the coast.

The court's decisions and the actions of the Vlora prosecutor's office, which drag out investigations and often refuse to take action, are evidence of a silence that is not accidental.
