On the other hand, since the political developments within the Democratic Party, the entity created by the two longest-serving politicians in the country, seems as if it does not exist. No joint initiative in the Assembly, no joint meeting of the elected in the councils, meanwhile, even in Kavaja where Berisha achieved the most important victory of the head of the municipality, there was no meeting or participation in the celebration of Florin Qose together with Flaws. Meanwhile, in their appearances at press conferences, the communication is vague, more to do "them" than with a pure political goal or plan.
Everything would be different if they won a number of municipalities, where from the side of the pulpit it would be aimed to stop the processes that have already started in DP. Because only in this way, it would be attempted to stop Ilir Meta from getting the advisers, as a result of using her legal credentials in the May 14 elections. Meanwhile, today Berisha does not even have the opportunity to attract the PD deputies who have abandoned the political processes in their party, and are closer to the pulpit than the blue headquarters.
But why don't they approach Sali Berisha's Pulpit"? First of all, the doctor does not invite them. He does not need party people, as he has always appointed the leaders and deputies himself, but only the legal credentials of the Democratic Party. All that persecution of Berisha after the declaration of Non Grata by the USA was to have a "political shelter" in the party he has led for more than 30 years. A day after DASH's decision, at the famous conference in Rogner, Sali Berisha requested exactly this. "The Democratic Party must protect me," he said.
On the other hand, many of the deputies who have already declared war on Lulzim Basha or do not accept his return, have started contacts with Ilir Meta, seeing him as a more relevant factor. Others who have no relationship, or do not honor the Freedom Party, are in a hold position. All this chaos that is happening in this important political community of the opposition space would not happen if Sali Berisha did not do what he did.
Even Lulzim Basha would not find it easy to make such a smooth comeback as is happening to him this time. Even though this time Sali Berisha hates his political "son" to death after he kicked him out of politics, he is inadvertently giving him the position of chairman of the Democratic Party again, as in 2013. But this time he fell into a trap he set for himself, acting without a plan or logic, but simply with instincts of anger and self-defense. And this is a clear sign of the loss of reflexes that he had as the most skillful politician in the country....
