The two people who lost their lives in the tragic accident that occurred this Friday afternoon at the TEG roundabout, where a concrete pump truck collided with an "Audi" vehicle and then fell off the overpass, have been identified.
The victims are foreign nationals Mohamed Lotf, around 30 years old, the driver of the truck, who died at the scene, and Mohamed Ali, around 44 years old, a passenger in the vehicle, who died in hospital, despite the help received from doctors.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Audi vehicle, Roland Nuri, 28 years old, continues to receive treatment in hospital and is out of danger.
As can be seen from the footage released from the moment of the accident, the concrete mixer collided with the Audi vehicle, broke through the protective metal barriers of the overpass and ended up underneath it.
The investigation team continues to work to fully document the circumstances and determine the cause of the accident.
"Following the preliminary information provided earlier about the accident that occurred at the TEG roundabout, we inform you that the two people traveling in the truck (concrete pump), specifically foreign citizens, have been identified:
-ML, about 30 years old, the truck driver, who lost his life at the scene;
-MA, about 44 years old, the passenger, who, despite medical assistance, died in hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, citizen RN, about 28 years old, is in hospital, out of danger.
"The investigation team continues to work to fully document the circumstances and cause of the accident," the police announced.
