There is a limit that politics should never cross. That limit is people's pain. Especially when it comes to a mother raising a child with autism.
At the Socialist Party parliamentary group meeting, Edi Rama did not talk about the conditions in which that family lives. He did not talk about poverty, abandonment or the plight of a mother who fights every day for her son. He chose to place him at the center of a political battle.
The Prime Minister stated that the woman was taken to the protest "to turn her into a victim of the police," and even went further, speaking of "ravens," "crows," and "terrorist manuals" that, according to him, use people as shields.
But then the woman herself spoke. Journalist Osman Stafa went to her apartment and debunked all of Rama's propaganda.
" I wasn't at the protest at all. I was coming from Kamza. The roads were blocked. As I was passing by the Parliament, they threw pepper in my eyes. I passed by by chance. The prime minister should come and confront me because I'm telling him to. Does pepper get thrown in a boy's eyes? Edi Rama should confront me ," she said.
These are not the words of the opposition. They are not political statements. They are the words of the mother herself that the prime minister spoke about.
And here the most serious question arises: did anyone verify her story before it was used in a political speech?
Journalist Osman Stafa did not go to do propaganda. He went to her house. What he found was not a political scenography. It was a bitter reality. Just a day ago, Municipal Unit No. 1 had sheltered her in social housing. A social housing in miserable conditions. A mother who has been facing the burden of raising a child with special needs alone for years.
In a normal country, this would be news. Not the attack on her.
Because a state is not measured by how it treats the strong. It is measured by how it treats the most vulnerable.
When a prime minister chooses to devote entire minutes to a poor mother at a political rally, while she responds by saying "I wasn't at the protest at all," the debate is no longer about the protest. The debate is about the responsibility that government has when speaking for its citizens.
In the end, only one simple truth remains: power has the voice, the cameras, and the podium. That mother had only her word.

Po pse mer klluf i lige eshte e ndaluar te dalesh ne proteste mer te shkerdhefsha origjinen, ndjese shume lexueseve per fjalorin, por keta njerez shpirtlige e te ndyre te bejne te flasesh me kete gjuhe. Ajo nene e shkrete mund te kete qene 53 dite pa ndalim ne proteste, por ajo po thote qe ate dite nuk ka dale per ne proteste por ka qene duke kaluar. Apo ju sufllaqexhinjte e peshtire keshtu i shihni gjerat

Po edhe mund te kete dale e ne protestat e mbaditeve e cfare pastaj. Shume mire qe ka dal dhe me kete rast iu dha nje shance qe historia e drama e saj te behet publike. Problemi ishte se ky kryeminister ne vend te alarmohet per gjendjen e mjerueshme e te tmershme qe ishin keta dy te pambrojur e pambeshtetje po filloj justifikimet dhe gjuatjet. Ky nuk mund te quhet kryeminister e ky nuk eshte as shteti qe duam e qe votojme.
