The body of another Albanian is taken out of the ruins of the giant pier in Hamburg, bringing the number of dead Albanians to four.
The accident happened two days ago, in a building under construction which was caused by the collapse of the scaffolding in an elevator shaft.
The German police confirmed that the victims were Albanian citizens, but with Bulgarian documents.
The total number of victims is not yet known.
According to German media, it is suspected that the scaffolding was not properly anchored and, according to information, about 80 concrete blocks (each weighing about 20 kilograms) were stored on it to be installed later. The stones are said to have been driven into the scaffolding between the third and fourth floors.
The accident happened in Hafencity, the site of a major redevelopment project of the former part of Hamburg's port. Workers were building the elevator shaft when the scaffolding collapsed, trapping them.
