The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has reacted to the sexual harassment case in Rrajcë. The suspicions are that the teacher sexually harassed the students. In a reaction, the Prosecutor's Office has provided details of the entire investigative process.

Fatmir Hoxha is accused of the criminal offense of "Sexual Harassment" against children, provided for by Article 108/a/2 of the Criminal Code, after referring information from the Librazhd Police Commissariat, that on 16.04.2025, citizen VA, director of the "Sali Halili" school, in the village of Rrajcë, Prrenjas, reported the fact that he had received information that citizen Fatmir Hoxha, teacher of the subjects "History-Geography" at the subordinate school "Ali Hana", in the village of Skënderbej, Prrenjas, had sexually harassed two of his students in the VIII and IX grades.
After receiving the information, the first procedural and investigative actions were immediately carried out under the direction of the prosecutor of the case, where employees of the school where the criminal offense was suspected to have been committed, parents of the minor victims were questioned, documents held by the administrative staff of the school in question were administered through examination, as well as the decision to suspend citizen Fatmir Hoxha from duty.
As a result of these preliminary investigative actions, suspicion has been raised that citizen Fatmir Hoxha, taking advantage of his position as a teacher and the fact that there were not many other students in the classes of the minor victims, by creating situations where they were alone, committed sexually harassing behavior towards them.
In light of the suspicions raised above, a search warrant was issued for citizen Fatmir Hoxha, who was not found in his apartment.
Meanwhile, on 16.04.2025, in the evening hours, this citizen was apprehended at the Rinas Border Crossing Point, as he was about to leave the territory of the Republic of Albania for Austria, via an airline.
Assessing the risk of citizen Fatmir Hoxha fleeing, his detention was proceeded with.
Regarding the case, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan has set up a special investigative group consisting of the prosecutor and the OPGJ specialized in cases involving minor victims, and the units responsible for child protection and the responsible state structures have been notified.
At the same time, the investigation is continuing to deepen in order to fully uncover the criminal fact and identify other potential cases in the same school committed by the person under investigation, Fatmir Hoxha.
