The Albanian criminal drug trafficking organization led by Franc Çopja and Ervis Çela turns out to have circulated millions of euros profited from this criminal activity.
According to the 282-page SPAK file, members of this powerful criminal organization that dictated the price of cocaine in Europe, talk about large amounts of cash euros being transported to Albania.
The two main members of the organization were Franc Çopja alias Franc Gergely, who was arrested some time ago in Belgium. From there, he ran the activity where he took care of receiving narcotics coming from Latin America to Europe and accumulating the money. He then sent the amounts of euros to Albania, where the main receiver and the one who took care of them was Ervis Çela.
The network was discovered by SPAK thanks to cooperation with Europol and other European law enforcement agencies, after breaking down communications in the encrypted Sky ECC application.
Based on these communications between the group members, complete conversations about transferring money to Albania have been recorded. These conversations are included in the SPAK file available to Report TV. Numerous photos of bundles of euros that the group members sent to each other are also shown.
In a communication in December 2020 at 12:05, between Ervis Çela and Franc Çopja, it is said that euros would be buried in Albania under the roots of olive trees.
Ervis Çela claimed this, while Franc Çopja advised him to invest in gold bars because money will be destroyed underground.
"Ervis Çela writes that he has 200 olive trees and for each olive tree he will make a hole to hide the money. Franc Gergely advises Ervis Çela to invest the accumulated cash in gold bars and not to bury them because they risk being damaged," the SPAK file states.
Excerpt from Ervis Çela's conversation with Franc Çopja:
Ervis Çela: I have 200 olive trees in the mountains, I need to put some water in them. Because olive trees live a long time.
Franc Çopja: Aahaha...turn gold. Don't put money in the ground. Listen to me...
Ervis Çela: There's no gold...I have to rob a bank...I have to order it from Africa...
Franc Çopja: I know there is no... I'll talk to you here, don't make this up... I'm collecting it slowly... But don't put money in the ground... Because it will spoil..
Ervis Çela: I know that money is wasted.
On December 13, 2020, at 9:07 PM, Ervis Çela communicates with his brother Ardjan Çela, with whom he is suspected of discussing the hiding of cash and the amount of money accumulated by them.
Ervis Çela: Did you dig a hole in Marove?
Ardjan Çela: Now I'm finishing preparing them... and now it's raining...
Ervis Çela: Will you pass it on?
Ardjan Çela: I'm going to finish the barrel and go close it...Ahahaha...
Ervis Çela: Ahahaha...did you make it 10?
Ardjan Çela: Lala has more...Yes
Ervis Çela: I'll start 4/5M this coming week...Ahahaha...
Ardjan Çela: Let's talk later...
On 14.12.2020, at 17:03, Ervis Çela communicates with his brother Riza Çela, to whom he writes that he has accumulated a monetary value of more than 100 million euros.
In the SPAK mega-operation to crack down on this criminal organization, 10 people were arrested, while 6 others were declared wanted.
The GJKKO has confirmed the "prison arrest" measure for Ervis Çela and for the other 6 arrested, Albin Çela alias Defrim Çela, Petrit Lakatos alias Petrit Sulejmani, Renato Musaku, Gert Çerma, Marenglen Kamami and Elidon Çela.
The only one with the mildest security measure is Riza Çela, who was left under "house arrest" and "compulsory appearance" for the two bus drivers, Kujtim Gjyla and Ditjon Pepa, who were bringing the money to Albania. Previously arrested in Belgium is Franc Çopja./ Report Tv
