The police of Lezha have struck three cases of cultivation of narcotic plants within the "Clean Territory" operation.
Four people were arrested, three were declared wanted, while they were criminally prosecuted for misuse of duties, 2 village heads and 1 forest specialist.
In total, 2,706 cannabis sativa seedlings and narcotic plants were destroyed.
The Mirdita and Kurbin police stations, the Special Operational Force of DVP Lezhë and groups of the National Security Force, Fier Unit, were involved in the operation.
The Mirdita Police Station, as part of a 1-month investigation, with proactive methods, carried out under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, struck a case of cultivation of narcotic plants, for which EK citizens, 41 years old, resident were arrested in the act in the village of Zheje, for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants"; KD, 33 years old, resident in Laç, with the duty of Operator of the Office of Citizen Services, in the Kurbin Police Station, as it is suspected that, abusing his duty, he informed the perpetrators of this criminal activity, about the movements of the Police.
Following this operation, the accomplices of the arrested citizen EK, citizens AZ alias IL alias IL, 39 years old, resident of Sanxhak village and GL, 33 years old, resident of Vinjolle village, were declared wanted.
From the investigations, it is suspected that these three citizens cultivated 1900 narcotic plants and 650 narcotic saplings (in cubes), near the stream of Karma, in the village of Pershqesh.
Also, for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", for the citizen P. Ll., 62 years old, head of the village of Pershqesh, and for the citizen Gj. L., 58 years old, forestry specialist in the village of Orosh.
In Kurbin, the Police services, during the control of the territory, based on the police intelligence, in the forests of Shëmri village, Kurbin, found 3 plots where 151 cannabis sativa narcotic plants had been cultivated.
As a result of the investigations, the organizers of this case of cultivation were identified, citizens SB, 46 years old and AB, 35 years old, brothers, both residents of Kurbin. Subsequently, it became possible to capture and arrest the 46-year-old, while work continues to capture the AB citizen.
Also, for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", for the mayor of Shëmri village, citizen BK, 52 years old.
Further, the services of the Kurbin Police Station, based on information from the police intelligence, in Milot, found several more cannabis sativa narcotic plants, as well as identified and arrested the suspected perpetrator of their cultivation, the AK citizen, 24 years old .
