Two people are in criminal proceedings after they were caught driving a vehicle with large sums of money, which are suspected to have benefited from criminal activities carried out abroad.
Following the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings for the citizens were initiated:
- AL, 51 years old, resident of Levan, Fier, after during the control of the vehicle he was driving, the police services found 89,390 euros, without accompanying documents for their source;
-J. Xh., 53 years old, a resident of Fier, after during the control of the vehicle he was driving, the police services found 11,500 euros and 60,000 lek, without accompanying documents for their source, the Fier police informed today.
The sums of money were seized as material evidence, along with 2 "Benz" type vehicles and 2 mobile phones.
Investigative work continues to determine the source of income of these citizens.
