This is because the American, Mathew James Werts, who worked as a teacher in a private school in the capital, first killed his wife from Indonesia, Saragih Indah Lilis Sartika, his two dogs and then himself.
According to the sources of journalist Dorjana Bezat, the couple had been living in Tirana for 10 years, in a rented apartment. Unlike her husband, the 48-year-old stayed locked in the house and did not go out. Although she had been living here for 1 decade, she did not know Tirana at all.
She was not even allowed to meet other people, only when her husband was at home they could visit her.
The police also found a farewell letter that the author had left in the apartment, where he showed all the actions he had taken. He apologized to his family members for not being able to make it.
