The Tirana police have given details regarding the investigation of the probable case of October 13, where the businessman Eduart Reçi was killed with a bullet to the head, on "Faik Konica" street.
After the investigations, it turns out that the perpetrators of the event are the two brothers Shkëlqim and Florjan Duka, one of them a police officer at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana. After the checks carried out in the residence and businesses of the two brothers, sufficient evidence was found for their involvement in the murder.
Authorities seized important evidence, including a damaged firearm and a variety of equipment used to make silencers, as well as bulletproof vests and electronic equipment.
According to the authorities, Eduart Reçi was trying to build a building, the construction of which required cooperation and agreement with other people (bordering the victim's property) and among the people with whom Reçi had discussed this issue and there was a conflict over ownership. of the plot, there were also the brothers Shkëlqim and Florjan Duka.

The event that took place on 13.11.2024, where on "Faik Konica" street, the ER citizen was injured with a firearm, who died in the hospital as a result of the injuries received, is revealed. Two brothers, suspected perpetrators of the incident, were arrested.

Following the in-depth investigative actions carried out by the special investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for clarifying the circumstances, identifying and apprehending the perpetrators, we inform you that:
Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes Against Life, based on the evidence gathered from the intensive investigation, arrested the citizens of Sh. D., 48 years old, (police officer) and FD, 45 years old, (brothers), both residents of Tirana, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder" committed in cooperation and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided by articles 78 and 25 and 278/1/4 of the Criminal Code.
Following the implementation of in-depth investigative actions, the use of police intelligence, the administration of evidence and various criminalistic examinations, the administration of documents, the special investigative group led by the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, has possible legal documentation of the implication of persons as suspected perpetrators of this event.
Pursuant to the Court's decision, on 23.11.2024, a search was carried out in the premises of the bar and the apartment of the 2 brothers, and in the warehouse of the bar, a partially damaged firearm, six cylindrical objects were found and seized as material evidence. similar to silencers of different sizes, different parts and mechanisms used for silencers, two bulletproof vests and various electronic devices that document the activity and dynamics of the suspected perpetrators of this event.
From the investigative actions carried out, it has emerged that the ER citizen was committed to building a building, the construction of which required cooperation and coordination with other persons (bordering the victim's property).
Among the persons with whom the citizen ER discussed this issue and had a conflict over the ownership of the land, are the brothers FD, and Sh. D.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue for the full legal documentation of this event.
