The State Police have announced a search for two people suspected of robbing two gas stations, threatening employees with a toy gun.
According to the police, on January 21 and 22, 2026, citizens EN alias E. Ll., 30 years old, and AL, 23 years old, both residents of Mamurras, are suspected of having stolen daily turnovers and a quantity of oil from two gas stations in Kukës and Lezha, using a toy gun to threaten employees.
The police operation codenamed "Coordination", conducted by the Lezha Local Police Directorate in cooperation with the Kukës Local Police Directorate, led to the unraveling of two thefts and the identification of the perpetrators.
During the search conducted at the apartment of citizen AL, the Police found and seized, as material evidence, the toy pistol with which it is suspected that these citizens threatened the employees to commit the thefts.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the thefts were committed at around 9:15 pm on 21.01.2026 and around 00:30 am on 22.01.2026, on the "Milot-Morinë" highway and the "Lezhë-Shkodër" axis.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, while police officers continue their work to capture the two wanted persons.
