The husband of 41-year-old Bedrie Loka, who died 4 days ago, as a result of phototoxin consumption, was arrested.
From the in-depth investigations, it was found that 45-year-old Xhemal Loka has psychologically abused his wife continuously.
When the 45-year-old returned from Greece, he threatened to kill his wife with a knife, in the presence of one of the children.
During the control carried out in the territory of the 45-year-old's apartment, the Police found and seized 1 "Sharrs" type automatic firearm, a comb and a quantity of combat ammunition.
"Following the in-depth investigative actions carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, to clarify the cause of the consumption of the poisonous substance by the 41-year-old BL, who then lost her life, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Commissariat of The Durrës police arrested the citizen Xh. L., 45 years old, who temporarily lived in Greece, due to work.
The investigative actions showed that the citizen Xh. L., 45 years old, had continuously psychologically abused his wife, a citizen of BL
Also, from the in-depth investigations it was found that on 27.12.2023, citizen Xh. L. threatened his wife with a cutting tool (knife) to kill him, in the presence of one of the children. For this case, the BL citizen did not report to the Police.
During the control carried out in the territory of the 45-year-old's apartment, the Police found and seized 1 "Sharrs" type automatic firearm, a comb and a quantity of combat ammunition.
Also, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes have seized the mobile phone of the citizen XH. L., who had hidden it, and did not cooperate with the Police.
This cell phone, together with the cell phone of citizen BL, were sent for examination in order to find evidence to document the circumstances and cause of the event.
Following the in-depth actions, a series of other procedural actions were carried out in order to fully document the cause that forced the BL citizen to consume poisonous substances.
At the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, in-depth actions continue with the aim of fully elucidating the cause that forced the 41-year-old to consume poisonous substances, from which she lost her life as a result.
Also, intensive investigative actions are being carried out by the specialized structures for the Investigation of Cybercrimes to identify and bring before the legal responsibility the author/s of the misuse of the data of the citizen BL, on the social network "Tik Tok".
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions, the police announced.
