A 34-year-old Albanian man was captured by the police in Italy.
The operative of the flying squad of Pavia, after receiving an international arrest warrant issued by the Albanian judicial authority from the international police cooperation service, tracked down and arrested a 34-year-old Albanian accused of kidnapping and coercion with the intention of giving false testimony.
For this crime committed in foreign territory, Albanian law provides for a severe punishment, which can reach up to seven years of imprisonment.
A few hours after the start of the search, thanks to some actions, the wanted person was recognized as he entered a bar in the center.
Sent to the police station for identification, the young man was arrested and transferred to the Torre del Gallo prison in Pavia, where he remains at the disposal of the Court of Appeal of Milan, responsible for the relevant verification for extradition.
