These are the images from the "Nissan" type vehicle, which the perpetrators set on fire after carrying out the assassination attempt on Zamir Kalemi last night in the Selita area.
After shooting him in the leg and shoulder, the perpetrators quickly left, set fire to the vehicle in Bërzhitë and left in an unknown direction.
From the detailed inspection of the burned vehicle, the police found a Kalashnikov firearm inside, which will be verified by the scientific police if it is the same as the one used in the incident.
The verification of the license plates showed that they were stolen in 2018 in Tirana. Verification is ongoing for whose use the vehicle was and if it turns out to be stolen.
Who was Zamir Kalemi?
The person who was injured is the brother of Adriatik (Andrea) Kalemi, who has been assassinated several times in Greece. The Kalemajs are cousins with Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was executed with a tritol in Tirana. Kalemi was also investigated for the murder of Edmond Papa for revenge.
Zamir Kalemi was arrested in 2020 for involvement in gambling. The first track of this assassination is revenge, since his brother, Andrea Kalemi, is suspected of being involved in the murder of Edmond Papa and the murder of two people in Belgium.
