Zamir Kalemi is the cousin of Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was executed in an explosive attack near the roundabout that leads to the Tirana-Elbasan road.
The brother of Andrea Kalemi, a well-known name for Albanian and Greek justice, managed to escape the barrage of bullets yesterday evening at the Selita roundabout in Tirana.
It was 22:55 minutes. Zamir Kalemi was driving his car, Smart, when a Kalashnikov was fired from another moving vehicle.
It seems that from the shooting, the young man lost control, crashing the car into the side of the road.
From the first information of the police, Zamir Kalemi was wounded by a gunshot in the leg, it is also learned that more bullets caught him and he is undergoing a surgical intervention in the Trauma hospital.
A few minutes after the assassination, it was learned about a burnt car in Bërzhitë, which is suspected to belong to the perpetrators. A Kalashnikov was also found inside the car.
The police have set up checkpoints in all main axes and entrances and exits of Tirana, for the identification and capture of the suspected author/s.
While the investigation group is working to clarify the circumstances of the event.

His brother, Andrea Kalemi, is suspected of being involved in the murder of Edmond Papa in December 2022, while Sadikaj, who was killed in June of the same year, was the cousin of the Kalemi brothers.

June 11, 2022 - Aleksandër Sadikaj is killed in a remote control explosion. The 27-year-old was Kalem's cousin. Sadikaj was driving on the axis known as Sauk-TEG. The perpetrators allegedly placed a substantial amount of 150 grams of tritol controlled by remote control in the front of the car which was activated while moving.
December 16, 2022 - Six months later, Sarandiot businessman Edmond Papa is killed in Tirana. The murder was revenge for the murder of Sadikaj. Andrea Kalemi's friend, Albano Velo, has been arrested for his execution, while another friend, Andrew Bode, is being sought. Kalem's name is also mentioned in the investigative file.
On August 9, 2023, Andrea Kalemi escaped the assassination attempt on the island of Pax in Greece, while he was on vacation with his 3 children and his wife.
On December 14, 2023, Andrea Kalemi was stabbed in the "Koridhalos" prison in Greece. According to the Greek media, the author was a 28-year-old Egyptian.
On January 8, 2024, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office completes the investigations and submits the criminal file against Andrew Bodes and Albano Velos to the court. The prosecution says that the Pope was allegedly killed in revenge for the murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj, known as 'Sanço'
On January 12, 2024, an attempt was made to kill the brother of Andrea Kalemi, also known as Adriatik Kalemi. From a moving car, a Kalashnikov was fired at the Smart in which Zamir Kalemi was traveling. The young man was injured.
