An assassination attempt took place yesterday evening around 22:55 in Selita District, where as a result 35-year-old Zamir Kalemi was wounded by a gunshot.
It is learned that the perpetrators, who were driving a "Nissan" type vehicle, are suspected to have tracked the target and when they reached parallel to it towards the east in Tirana, they opened fire with a Kalashnikov.
15 cartridges were found at the scene, while the 35-year-old received injuries to his leg and shoulder.
In an attempt to get out of range, he crashed into the side barriers of the road.
After the perpetrators left, he got out of his "Smart" type vehicle and was taken to the trauma hospital in a random car, where he is in intensive care.
The police seized the vehicle that was found burning in the area of Bërxita, the vehicle used by the perpetrators of the assassination, where they then left in an unknown direction.
They are also working with the cameras in the axes where Kalemi moved before the event, while the police have been combing the area since yesterday evening to track down the perpetrators.
