The Turkish media "Yeni Safak" has revealed new details from the murder of 6 Turks in Athens, Greece. According to the media, 6 victims were sent a message on their cell phones 10 minutes before they were killed.
The SMS said the following: "Your position has been discovered, leave the house immediately, they will kill you."
As Yeni Safak claims, when the six Turks received this message, they decided to leave the house they had rented in Lutsa, not knowing that they would be ambushed a few kilometers down the road.
Text messages written in Turkish were found on the cellphones of the six victims, with police analyzing their contents to determine who they were talking to and whether anyone had tipped them off that they had been targeted by a rival criminal organization.
In this context, it is being investigated whether the sender of the message was the 32-year-old Turkish man who was arrested late on Monday afternoon at the "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport as he was preparing to travel to Mytilin - with a ticket that had been issued in Turkey one hour after the execution of 6 people in Loutsa. According to Turkish media, the 32-year-old's name is Süleyman D. and he had a Portuguese passport.
Yeni Safak also reveals the criminal past of the six executed: 22-year-old Abdurrahman Tekru had a record of 25 criminal offenses and 16 arrest warrants, 23-year-old Burak Tahmaz had 32 offenses and 6 arrest warrants, 24-year-old Ozan Kaan Tozlu had 13 criminal offenses and two arrest warrants, 31-year-old Dorukhan Ersu Büyüktunç three criminal offenses and seven arrest warrants, 24-year-old Ömer Kanza 6 offenses and two arrest warrants while Barış Çağrı also had a file with the Turkish authorities.
The six dead in Lutsa have been identified, according to EL.AS sources, after communication and cooperation with Europol and Interpol, as well as direct contacts with the police authorities of France and Turkey.
As the same sources pointed out, it is about Turkish citizens, five of whom carried fake French IDs, while the sixth was identified by fingerprints. All of them were members of a criminal group, which operated abroad and not in Greece, according to the data so far.
According to the same sources, the criminal group was active, and according to the investigations so far, in countries of the European Union, but not in Greece. Also, they noted that 4 firearms were ultimately used in the massacre, two of which are of the pistol type.
The vehicle they were traveling in comes from Germany, with fake German license plates and belongs to a Romanian citizen, who gave it to the victims. Investigations are continuing at an uninterrupted and systematic pace to identify, find and capture the perpetrators.
