An Albanian brutally beat an Englishwoman after a debate in Great Britain. The woman was punched and attempted to be strangled by Emiljano Cakraj on January 23 of this year in Forest Town.
The 33-year-old also threatened the woman with death. She begged Cakraj to take her to the hospital, saying she would tell the police that she had fallen down the stairs.
After making her swear not to tell anyone what had happened, he said he would take her to the hospital. They got into the car, but the Albanian passed by the hospital and did not stop.
At that moment the woman who was in the back seat assumed that Cakraj was going to take her somewhere to kill her. She pretended to be dead.
Cakraj pulled into a parking lot and called someone who picked him up and took him to the hospital. After investigations, police arrested Cakraj in the early hours of January 24 and he was subsequently charged with violence.
Cakraj pleaded guilty to the charge and to its pursuit between March 16 and May 17.
The court heard that Cakraj threatened her through fake social media accounts and anonymous phone calls. One of the threatening messages he sent her featured a blurry photo of her car.
The court said Cakraj later tried to delete the messages he had sent from his phone. The Albanian was sentenced to three years in prison.
