A major operation is underway by the Greek police since the early hours of the morning.
It is learned that the operation is being carried out for the execution of dozens of arrest warrants issued by the Prosecutor's Office for a criminal group involved in attempted murder, destruction of property with explosives, destruction of property by fire, injuries, as well as drug and weapons issues.
So far, 23 people have been arrested, while the operation continues.
The criminal group is said to be led by a character who is in prison. Among those arrested there are also Albanian citizens, one of whom, currently imprisoned, was involved in a recent scandal where he had relations with prison officials of Ioannina and carried out illegal activities there.
Meanwhile, details about the operation are expected to be made public in the coming hours.
