Kleanth Bylyku alias Armando Gega, 42, was arrested by police as a suspect in the murder of 58-year-old Renato Hoxhaj, an event that occurred on April 27 in the city of Vlora.
Bylyku was arrested as part of the 'On the Trail' operation. The character with two identities, according to an official announcement from the Vlora Police, is known as a member of a criminal group and previously convicted of illegal possession of weapons.
"The operation codenamed "On the Trail" was carried out by the Serious Crimes Investigation Section in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the State Police, under the direction of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office. As part of it, citizen Kleanth Bylyku alias Armando Gega, 42 years old, resident of Vlora, known as a member of a criminal group and previously convicted of illegal possession of weapons, was arrested.
The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Vlora, by decision dated 30.07.2025, has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on him, for the criminal offense of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration.
The incident occurred on the morning of April 27, at around 06:20, near the city's Polyclinic, where citizen RH, 58 years old, was shot dead.
"The police inform that investigations continue to identify and capture other suspected accomplices. The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora," the official announcement of the Vlora Police states.

In connection with this murder, citizen Eris Mehmetaj was also arrested at the end of April. The latter has denied involvement in the crime, while he was arrested on suspicion of supporting the perpetrators.
While the causes of the crime still remain a mystery, there are suspicions that the victim was executed after there were suspicions that he was playing a double game between criminal groups.
Hoxhaj was shot with at least two bullets on the morning of April 27 in the Hajro Çakërri neighborhood in Vlora.
