
An Albanian wanted internationally by Interpol Tirana has been arrested in Germany.
As part of an investigation, officers from the Bad Kötzting police station became aware of a 42-year-old Albanian resident of Lamer Winkel, who was an internationally wanted person.
The man was wanted by the Albanian authorities on the basis of an international arrest warrant for drug trafficking. The 42-year-old was arrested in Bad Kötzting.
In close coordination with the Nuremberg Public Prosecution, the Albanian was brought before the responsible investigating judge at the Regensburg District Court, who confirmed the international arrest warrant and issued a detention order.
The Albanian was sent to an institution and is now awaiting extradition to Albania.
