The "O gyros tou asyrmatou" bar, where an Albanian father and son with the surname Sinovarfaj were injured in the early hours of this morning, is part of the "Sky ECC" file in Greece, where in December 2024 24 people were arrested, including 14 Albanians, as part of several criminal groups involved in international drug trafficking but also in serious criminal events.
Specifically, the "O Gyros tou Asirmatou" restaurant, where 39-year-old Negri Sinovarfaj and his 70-year-old father were injured, according to the file at the time, it turns out that the "invisible" owner was 34-year-old Andon Salati from Vlora. Officially, the "Steakhouse" restaurant is owned by the company "K SALATI N SINOVARFAJ O. E".
Andon Salati, born in Vlora and residing in Nea Smyrni, Athens, according to the operation file in December 2024, is considered one of the leaders of one of the criminal groups in collaboration with Denis Grabocka. Salati, who is known by the nicknames "Sal", "Salah" and "Toni", is a user of "Sky ECC" but also "Encrochat".
Part of Andon Salati's group was also Aleksandër Sadikaj from Memaliaj, executed in Tirana in 2022 after the explosion of explosives in a car.
Their group is involved in the trafficking of marijuana and cocaine from Spain and Albania to Greece. In February 2016, Salati was stopped by Albanian police at the Kakavija border crossing with 148,000 euros in cash, which he was trying to smuggle into Albania, but was subsequently released on bail. From 2018 to 2020, he was imprisoned in Koridhalo as the head of a criminal group that sold narcotics in Athens and Mykonos. Despite this, he continued to control the trafficking and distribution of drugs from prison, through encrypted platforms.
In the messages exchanged by Andon Salati, while he was imprisoned, with Fotio Mplantoumi-Sioho, also imprisoned in French prisons, he describes the situation inside the prison and in particular the amenities he has such as a mobile phone, a smart TV, an internet router. He refers to the good relations he has with the prison staff, that with the help of the guards he places the mobile phones in the detention center, he knows a head guard and a guard from when they worked in Mykonos and that some evenings during his shift, the guard uses cocaine “to take a few sniffs”. He says that the situation in the prison was better 2 years ago, because then the prisoners drank until late at night and some even had the company of women, whom a “head guard” would introduce.
Andon Salati and Denis Grabocka are the secret owners of a car rental company in Athens, with registered owners being their family members. Specifically, the company "CARENT" owns 50 vehicles and 18 motorcycles, some of which were used by members of the organization or were seized in various incidents.
The company rented vehicles to members of the organization, in order for them to move under the shadow of a legal cover, avoiding identification by the authorities of the real drivers (there have even been reports of vehicles being rented from the company with false identification documents, without it being possible to ascertain whether such a thing occurred) and to avoid the possible confiscation of the private vehicles of drug transporters, since rented vehicles seized for drug transport are transferred to the relevant company.
The company "CARENT" is related to the company "I GO RENTAL" which was created in 2017 in Mykonos, when Andon Salati was active, before his arrest in 2018.
