Injuring two minors in Kamëz, journalist reveals how the fight that ended

The serious incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon outside the "Ibrahim Rugova" high school in Kamëz has once again brought school safety into the spotlight. Two 16-year-olds were stabbed, one of them in serious condition, while a third was injured by punches during the conflict.

Journalist Igli Çelmeta revealed new details about the incident. According to him, the fight between two groups of students started with punches and then cold weapons were used. The police identified the minors involved by seizing security cameras and taking statements from those present. On Friday, two people were arrested, the main perpetrator of the injury, also a minor, and his friend who helped him during the conflict.

"There were two groups of students, two against three. The main perpetrator used the knife against his peers, while the police, after consultations with the prosecutor, decided to arrest the two minors directly involved, " Çelmeta told "A2 CNN".

This incident once again raises questions about the level of security in Albanian schools. According to the journalist, the phenomenon is not isolated. Similar cases have occurred before, including the one in Maliq where a 15-year-old killed his friend with a knife.

A serious problem remains the lack of security officers. From the available data, only 30% of schools in Albania have security officers, while the rest remain unprotected. Most of these officers serve only in the capital, leaving many other schools in the country without security coverage.
