The Police of the Section for the Fight and Clearance of Crimes in Poligiros arrested a 45-year-old Albanian citizen, who is accused of trafficking and possession of narcotics.
According to the Greek Police (ELAS), officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit stopped the suspect while he was driving his vehicle. During the search, with the help of the specialized police dog for detecting narcotics, “Akylas”, 39 packages of cocaine with a total weight of 383.1 grams were found hidden in the back of the driver’s seat, which were seized.
During the search of his apartment in the Thessaloniki area, police also seized seven packages of cocaine with a total weight of 4.9 grams, three packages of raw cannabis with a total weight of 3.8 grams, as well as 14,520 euros in cash.
Authorities also seized the vehicle used by the arrestee, as well as two mobile phones found in his possession.
The Greek police published footage from the operation on the official Facebook page of the Regional General Directorate of the Central Macedonia Police.
The arrested person appeared before the First Instance Prosecutor in Thessaloniki, who referred the case for investigation to the investigating judge.
