The scene of the assassination attempt on the Fier-Vlora highway is being reconstructed. Kristian Markut's car was followed by a Golf-type vehicle and as soon as it passed a gas station, it was shot at, leaving the 30-year-old dead.
11 shell casings were found at the scene, suspected to be from a Glock pistol, reports 'Euronews Albania'.
After the shooting, the perpetrators' car drove away towards Vlora, while the victim's vehicle drove another 400 meters before colliding with the traffic divider and another car, causing a chain accident.
The perpetrators burned their vehicle 2 km away, near the "Kripa" area.
