38-year-old Arlind Demushi, who is accused of stabbing his friend, Hajdar Ismailgeci, has given his testimony to investigators, claiming that everything started after an argument over the victim's wife.
According to his testimony, Demushi had been staying at the victim's apartment in Babrru for 10 days, as they were close friends. However, according to him, relations between them deteriorated the day before the incident, after they argued on the phone after the victim accused him of insulting his wife.
The next day, he showed up at the victim's apartment to pick up his clothes. At the entrance to the house, they began to physically clash, and at the height of the argument, Demushi pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times, causing fatal injuries.
After the crime, he left in a taxi towards Durrës, to his sister's apartment, where he was arrested. The police found with him a bag with the clothes he was wearing at the time of the incident, which are expected to be analyzed as material evidence.
