
Italian police have arrested a 26-year-old Albanian man after he was caught with narcotics ready for sale.
During a search, two people were found quickly exchanging something suspicious. When they saw the officers, they tried to run away, and during the search, doses of cocaine and thousands of euros in cash were found on the 26-year-old. The police also escorted the other person, who was also found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs.
Following the search, the 26-year-old was found to have over 40 packets of cocaine hidden in a pack of chewing gum, with a market value of several thousand euros. The subsequent search led to the seizure of over 20 thousand euros in cash, Italian media reports.
The 26-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto and at the end of the trial with direct procedure, the Court of Rimini upheld the security measure "prison arrest".
