A quantity of TNT exploded overnight in the "Partizani" neighborhood in the city of Elbasan. The explosive was placed on the first floor of a building, and as a result of the explosion, there were no injuries, but only material damage.
The footage shows the damage caused by the explosion, with broken windows in several apartments.
Residents in the area say they heard a loud explosion around 1:00 a.m.
According to them, a family of three lives in the apartment that was the target of the attack. They were not in the apartment at the time of the explosion.
"It could have been 1:00 in the morning. We were sleeping with my daughter. We heard a very loud crash. The windows were completely damaged. A family lives down here: a man, a woman and their child, but they left in the evening. They are all elderly. We don't know how it happened. We were so scared that my heart is beating non-stop. It was a very loud noise," said a resident of the area.
But some new details have emerged about the incident in Elbasan. It is known that the explosion was staged by the apartment owners, in collaboration with the nephew of the head of the family.
It is also reported that the family members who own the apartment where the explosive material exploded spend most of their time outside Albania.
Meanwhile, the footage obtained shows that the explosive was placed by a man, who was spotted by security cameras during the evening in front of the entrance to the apartment where the explosion occurred.
At the time of the explosion, which occurred at around 00:05 on May 1, in the "Partizani" neighborhood, there were no people inside the apartment and fortunately no one was injured.
