
Nazmi Shahini, also known by the surname Drazhi, has surrendered to the police, after being declared wanted by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) as part of a structured criminal group suspected of international drug trafficking.
His arrest was carried out under the security measure "prison arrest", ordered in absentia by the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC).
According to SPAK, Shahini is suspected of being part of a criminal organization that operated during 2020–2021, involved in the international trafficking of cocaine and cannabis.
Investigations by the Special Prosecution Office show that the criminal group is suspected of having trafficked a total of around 8.1 tons of narcotics, including cocaine and cannabis.
According to the investigative file, the drugs were transported from Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Spain and Morocco, with destinations in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and other European countries.
SPAK continues investigations to fully document the activities of the criminal group and to identify other persons involved in this suspected international drug trafficking network.
