Suspicions are that referees' names are mentioned in the Sky Ecc application to mitigate a personal insurance measure. They have given corrupt decisions favoring Suel Çela and his group.
The Special Prosecutor's Office has provided information on the operation developed today in Elbasan, within the framework of the information that emerged from the analysis of the conversations in "Sky Ecc".
According to the prosecution, security measures were given to 21 people, where 18 are "prison arrest", 1 "house arrest" and 2 forced to appear. Among those detained are journalists Artan Hoxha and Elton Qyno, as well as judges, prosecutors and lawyers.
" In the context of the investigation of a criminal organization with international scope, at the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has assigned security measures to 21 people, including members of the criminal organization, a a senior police official, a judge on duty during the commission of the criminal activity, a lawyer and two journalists.
Certain security measures are as follows:
Imprisonment - 18 people (including the former judge and senior official of the state police);
House arrest – 1 lawyer;
Obligation to appear before the judicial police - 2 journalists.
The operation for the execution of security measures, which is being supported by Europol and other Albanian and European law enforcement agencies, is ongoing.
In order to preserve the integrity of this operation, the Special Prosecutor's Office will publish more data about this investigation the next day ", SPAK announces.
Until now, it is known that 2 former judges of Elbasan, Pajtime Fetahu and Zihni Shahu, have been arrested, while the apartment of the former judge of Elbasan, Taulant Tafa, has also been searched. "House arrest" has also been signed for the lawyer of Suel Çela's group, Blerina Beqiri. They are also the housing inspectors of 2 former prosecutors, ET and MB. Also, a security measure has been issued for the former crime chief, Dedan Gjoni, who is also under arrest for another case.

Suel Çela was declared wanted in May 2022 within the "Golden Bullet" operation organized by SPAK. According to Nuredin Dumani's testimony, he is the initiator of three events, 2 of which have not been realized and 1 of which has been attempted. Suel Çela is accused of ordering the failed assassination attempt on March 29, 2022 against Elton Kila, which was to be carried out by the associate of justice, Nuredin Dumani, but who was injured on the way and then arrested.
Suel Çela was convicted in Italy for drug trafficking, but he managed to escape prison. In November 2019, the Court of Elbasan decided to acquit Cela of the attack on the police at the Elbasan food market. This is an event that shocked public opinion in September 2017 when the footage of the black, armored Audi that crashed into the car of Deputy Police Director Gjergj Oshafi emerged. Although the prosecution asked for 7 years in prison, the court decided to acquit Çela for lack of evidence, while convicting his friend as the author of the incident.
