Activist Ilir Xhemalaj, during the 34th protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, declared that the voice of Albanian protesters has reached the United States of America, citing a reaction by US Senator Jon Ossoff.
According to him, the support of the American senator is a signal that the protesters' cause has crossed the borders of Albania.
Activist Ilir Xhemalaj: " Today our voice is heard high, all the way to the doors of the US Senate in Washington. Today we are not alone, US Senator Jon Ossoff raised his voice for us, denounced the dark deals of power and supported our revolution for a new Albania."
He thanked the American senator and said that his support is a message in support of the fight against corruption.
Activist Ilir Xhemalaj: "We thank Senator Ossoff and our friends in the US Senate who defend the truth and dignity of the Albanian people. This support from the US Senate clearly shows that our fight against corruption has crossed borders and will not stop. There is no greater strength than that of a united people."
At the end of his speech, Xhemalaj called on the protesters to continue their mobilization.
Activist Ilir Xhemalaj: "History is being written in this square and we are on the victorious side. For our Albania, for the red and black flag, for our permanent ally the USA, forward to victory. May God bless Albania."
