A 38-year-old man was arrested at the Qafë Prush border crossing point, after transporting 32.7 kg of cannabis to Kosovo.
The police also arrested 2 other people, who cooperated with the 38-year-old Jetmir Krasniqi for the trafficking of narcotics. They had made the car available to him and then they would pay for the transport of the cannabis.
"The police operation coded "Corridor" is finalized, for the attack on an attempt to traffic towards Kosovo, the narcotic cannabis sativa. The operation, the result of the risk analysis, carried out by the Border Police services of the PKK Qafë Prush, based on police intelligence provided in cooperation with the Department for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Traffic of the Kuka Local Police Directorate.
The operation continued afterwards, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the Kukës Prosecutor's Office. About 32.7 kilograms of cannabis sativa narcotic substance and the "Peugeot" type vehicle with which the substance was transported were seized. The 38-year-old man from Kosovo, who was transporting the narcotics divided into packages, was arrested.
In cooperation with the Kosovo Police, 2 of the suspects were immediately arrested in Kosovo as organizers of security and drug trafficking. The Narcotics Investigation Structures of DVP Kukës, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, as a result of the investigations, have identified 3 other citizens involved in this case. The work continues for their capture, as well as for the identification and capture of other citizens who may have been implicated in this criminal activity.
Following successive police operations, in the field of narcotics, the services of the Border Police of PKK Qafë Prush and the services of the Local Police Directorate of Kuka organized and finalized the coded police operation "Corridor".
During the operation, on the way out of Albania, citizen JK, 38 years old, resident of Gjakovë, was caught red-handed and arrested, after the police found about 32.7 kilograms of cannabis sativa narcotics in the "Peugeot" type vehicle driven by this citizen. . The amount of narcotics, divided into several packages, was seized as material evidence, together with the 38-year-old's vehicle.
From the investigations, it turned out that the citizens JK, together with the narcotics, had given the vehicle in Morina to the citizens GM, from Kosovo, and AA, from North Macedonia. The JK citizen, against payment, would pass the narcotic substance to Kosovo, through PKK Qafë Prush. As a result of quick actions and coordination with the Kosovo Police, it became possible to capture in Kosovo the citizens of GM and AA
Also, the investigation showed that in this case of the attempt to traffic narcotics, 1 Macedonian citizen and 2 Serbian citizens are involved. In cooperation with the homologous police, the work for their capture continues. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Kuka General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed in collaboration.
