The court of Gjirokastra has left Nikolin J. in prison, who is accused of sexually harassing a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Përmet.
It was the 14-year-old girl who told the teacher that the van driver harassed her and even physically touched her.
The lawyer of the driver has asked the judge Suela Dashi to release him with the claim that there is no evidence that makes Nikoli J. guilty. But the court has accepted the prosecution's request, leaving Nikoli J. in prison indefinitely. For the defense side of the driver, this decision is unacceptable and they have warned of his appeal.
On the other hand, the driver Nikolin J., in front of the jury, "closed his mouth" and did not say a word.
The case of sexual harassment was discovered on Friday (November 10), when the 14-year-old girl filed a complaint with the Permet Police. The teacher had found the girl crying and then she told her that the driver of the van sexually harassed her.
