A 31-year-old man in Vlora was arrested by the police after he tried to rob a "Ford Focus" type vehicle with his wheelchair.
According to the police, the incident took place in the village of Panaja yesterday evening. Meanwhile, during the inspection of the cart, the Police found two license plates of another vehicle, which were allegedly stolen the day before in the city of Vlora.
"Thanks to the quick response of the Police, the theft of a vehicle in the village of Panaja was prevented.

Thanks to the quick reaction, and based on the information provided by the information intelligence, the section for the investigation of crimes at the Vlora Police Station and the Special Force "Shqiponja" at the Vlora DVP, coordinated the actions to prevent a theft in the village of Panaja. As a result, it became possible to catch and arrest the citizen in the act: GM, 31 years old, resident of Vlora.
This citizen was caught by the Police services in the village of Panaja, during yesterday evening, trying to steal a "Ford Focus" type vehicle by means of his cart.
During the control of the charioteer, the Police found two license plates of another vehicle, which were allegedly stolen the day before in the city of Vlora.
The charioteer, along with the suspected stolen license plates, were seized as material evidence.
Investigations continue under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office to determine the purpose and possible use of the vehicle that was stolen, as well as the author's possible connections with other illegal activities.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction Vlora, for further actions," the police announced.
