Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in Tirana, who was wanted for attempted murder.
The young man identified as Mario Nela, in September 2024, in collaboration with his father and brother, attempted to kill his cousin Ervin Nela after an argument.
According to the police, the Tirana Court has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on the 29-year-old, for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", attempted, committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
"The police operation codenamed "Location" is finalized. In September 2024, a 29-year-old man was captured and put in handcuffs after attempting to kill his cousin with a firearm. The detainee committed the crime in collaboration with his father and brother, who were captured by the Police immediately after the incident.
As a result of the rapid administration of information provided by police intelligence, on the location of a citizen wanted for a crime against the person, the services of Police Commissariat No. 3, in cooperation with the services of the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department, finalized the operation codenamed "Location".
As part of the operation, citizen MN, 29 years old, was arrested and handcuffed, to whom the Tirana Court has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", attempted, committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
"The investigations suspect that this citizen, in collaboration with his father and brother, citizens GN and EN, during a conflict on 11.09.2024, attempted to kill his cousin, citizen EN, with a firearm. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police statement said.
