The Murder Saga:
The murder of Kastriot Reçi's brother, Gasper Reçi in 2017, is suspected to be related to a series of serial murders and revenges that happened both in our country and in Belgium.
On September 9, 2016, Saimir Jaku, former director of the High Voltage line for the north in OSHEE, was killed in Rrëshen. He was shot to death with a Kalashnikov firearm by two still unidentified persons, while he was drinking coffee in one of the most frequented bars in the city of Rreshen, while his friend was also injured. On April 28, 2017, Gasper Reçi, 43 years old, was killed in Rome, Italy. According to foreign authorities who at that time cooperated with the Albanian police, it is suspected that the murder of Gasper Reçi came as revenge for the execution of Saimir Jaku.
It didn't take long and on September 6, 2017 in Belgium, Kreshnik Gjini, the grandson of Saimir Jaku, was killed. The Belgian police suspected that the incident was revenge for the murder of Gasper Reçi in Italy.
Kreshnik Gjini was killed in the municipality of Forest, Belgium, by two masked people suspected to be Albanians, who shot Kreshnik Gjini, who died immediately.
Cristina, Kreshnik Gjini's girlfriend, told the Belgian investigators that in 2016 the 31-year-old's uncle, Samir Jaku, was killed in Albania. "For a year, he felt threatened", declared Kreshnik's girlfriend to the investigators at that time.
The reason why Saimir Jaku was executed in Rrëshen remains a mystery, which would reveal the full story of the alleged revenge between the parties. The only known fact is that the perpetrators of the assassination were two people. The official had escaped an assassination attempt before. The perpetrators shot him with volleys in the alley of his neighborhood, but at that time he escaped the assassination that happened for trivial reasons. He escaped another fight, where he tried to kill himself again. These events happened years ago and according to the residents of Rrëshen, the conflicts had been resolved.
