Fatos Imeraj, the 31-year-old Albanian, was detained by the British police for breaking the deportation order.
For the Albanian, it is not the first time that he has been banned and deported from the countries of the United Kingdom. Fatos Imeraj was detained by Cardiff Police on 31 August following a routine check and subsequently found to have breached several deportation orders. The Albanian was justified by the fact that he broke the order to meet his wife and children who live in Cardiff. At Cardiff Crown Court on Friday defendant Imeraj was informed of the remand order for breaches of the eviction order, reports WalesOnline. A few months ago he was found in Dover, where he had illegally entered Britain and returned to prison.
During his imprisonment, Imeraj tried to seek asylum. After his release he applied for permission to stay in Britain until 2024. Prosecutor Sarah Iles said the decision to grant the defendant permission was a mistake by the Home Office and he was deported back to Albania. Two months later, Imeraj made another attempt to enter the UK via Brussels, but was stopped by the Border Force.
Prosecutor Iles said the defendant had lost his chance to plead guilty to his immigration status. He told police he had last entered Britain in August in the back of a lorry. Imeraj said he came to Cardiff to see his family and because his life was in danger in Albania. He pleaded guilty to violating the deportation order.
