Three killed and 1 injured is the balance of an assassination that happened on the evening of July 20, 2024 that shook the city of Memaliaj.
The event took place around 23:20 in a bar in district No. 3, in front of the town hall building of this city.
One of the three victims of the assassination that took place on Saturday evening in Memaliaj is Shyqo Kalemi, the father of Andrea Kalemi, also known as Adriatik Kalemi, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of Edmond Papa in December 2022.
His two sons, Andrea Kalemi and Zamir Kalemi, have managed to escape assassination attempts in 2023 and most recently in January of this year.
Andrea Kalemi escaped an assassination attempt on August 10, 2023 on the Greek island of Pax.
He was shot at least 10 times in front of his three children and his wife by a person who had his face covered and left without being noticed by anyone.
In December 2023, he was shot with a knife in Koridhalos prison in Greece.
On January 12, 2024, Zamir Kalemi was assassinated at the Selita roundabout in Tirana.
Still unidentified persons shot with a Kalashnikov at the car of Shyqo's son, Andrea Kalemi's brother.
40-year-old Zamir Kalemi managed to escape the assassination attempt by being wounded in the leg.
