Nikola Mersini, 58 years old, born in Lushnja and resident in Vlora, was arrested by the Vlora police.
The 58-year-old man was arrested as part of the 'Prust' operation, after he was wanted internationally for drug trafficking.
The Italian judicial authorities have sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment (of which he has 7 years and 6 months left to serve), for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics".
During the operation, the citizen declared internationally wanted was caught in the "10 Korriku" neighborhood and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy:
